Rockin' TJ Ranch: Venue and Grounds Coordinator

Reports to: Landscape Lead

Typical work week: 20-25 hours per week. During the busy season (wedding season) must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typically through November and returning the following spring. May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the workload, staffing, and weather.

Position Summary: The venue/grounds coordinator is responsible for ensuring the work assigned is done efficiently and with quality. This position requires following instructions and maintaining work and storage areas.

If the venue/grounds coordinator is looking for more work on the weekends, the dishwashing position is also a good fit and earns tips; one person can do both jobs.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Walk and stand during the entire shift
• Lift and carry leaves or bags of grass up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 100 lbs, with assistance
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting
• Work outdoors the entire shift
• Work in hot and cold environments

Major Requirements and Responsibilities:

• To be at least a minimum legal working age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Manual-driven position
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the workspace

• Arch placement
• Benches placement
• Ceremony chair placement
• Ceremony clean up following events
• Event clean up, breakdown of tables and chairs, storage in appropriate location
• Buffing Grand Hall floors with the mechanical buffing machine
• Event marketing assistance: hanging of signage, and delivering marketing materials as directed
• Document map signage position locations
• Collect signage after events
• Mowing
• Power Raking
• Line Trimming
• Leaf Blowing
• Spraying or spreading herbicide and fertilizer with supervision
• Moving hoses as needed to water or mow
• Weeding flower beds, troughs, and barrels
• Pruning as directed
• Cleanup of yard waste materials
• Using power equipment such as hedge trimmers and chain saws
• Apply stain or oil to wood posts and boards
• Minor painting when needed
• Mixing fuel and oil
• Machinery maintenance
• Burn piles
• Cleanup after storms
• Snow shoveling of patio and walkways
