Preferred experience includes repairing and maintaining highway maintenance fleets. This position is responsible for maintenance and upkeep of all vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment by executing expertise in the servicing and repairing of our highway maintenance fleet and complying with provincial requirements. 

 Qualifications include:

• Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T);
• Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence; 
• Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs;
• Knowledge and experience in computer diagnostics and electrical components;
• Knowledge and experience in heavy equipment hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering;
• Knowledge and experience in CAN BUS considered an asset;
• Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding considered an asset;
• Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety;
• Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, etc.
