Position Summary:

Ridgeway Homes, a leading contractor in new home construction and renovations, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Residential Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is vital to our operations, focusing on creating detailed cost estimates for custom new construction homes and residential renovations based on architectural drawings. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in material takeoff, labor cost assessments, and pricing inputs for each project, ensuring competitive yet accurate budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

§  Conduct comprehensive material takeoffs and prepare cost estimates for new construction custom homes and residential renovation projects.

§  Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to assess costs and requirements.

§  Develop accurate labor cost assessments and pricing strategies for each project component.

§  Prepare detailed, organized, and transparent estimate reports for management review and client presentation.

§  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and materials.

§  Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to gather project-specific information and requirements.

§  Travel as needed between the company’s two offices in Laurel, Mississippi, and the corporate office in Jackson, Mississippi, where the position is primarily based.

§  Embrace a flexible work schedule, combining remote work with office attendance for management meetings and work product approval.

Qualifications:

§  Degree in Construction Management or related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

§  Familiarity with estimating software tools such as Xactimate, RS Means, BuildXact, and proficiency in Excel.

§  Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients, management, and team members.

§  Strong organizational abilities, ensuring clear and accessible estimate documentation.

§  Willingness to travel between office locations as required.
