Duties
- Operate wastewater treatment and wastewater systems, including pumps, valves, and chemical feed equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of wastewater treatment equipment, pumps, and identify maintenance needs or potential issues.
- Collect data on system performance, wastewater quality parameters, and operational metrics to support compliance reporting and process improvements.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs on residential pumps, wastewater treatment equipment, and associated mechanical components.
- Monitor programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to automate processes and ensure system stability.
- Maintain safety standards by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE), adhering to safety regulations, and following environmental compliance protocols.
- Assist with construction projects or upgrades related to wastewater infrastructure as needed, including heavy equipment operation and plumbing tasks.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, wastewater system management.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and industrial automation technology.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting on pumps and water systems.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, heavy lifting techniques, construction practices, and plumbing skills.
- Analytical skills for data collection, process analysis, problem-solving, and ensuring environmental compliance.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to chemical dosing or flow rates.

Full time position, estimated hours: 7:30 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., Monday – Friday
