Giant Food Pharmacy has immediate openings for Licensed Pharmacy Technicians AND aspiring Pharmacy Technicians who are interested in becoming part of an expert Pharmacy Team for the leading grocery retailer in the DMV area. As part of our Pharmacy Team, Pharmacy Technicians will benefit from working in conjunction with a Supervising Pharmacist to perform technician duties, including: 

• Assisting the Pharmacist with Pharmacist duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures and with State and Federal Regulations 
• Prescription processing and data entry using the latest pharmacy systems that integrate clinical decision making, drug utilization review and medication therapy management 
• Customer engagement while providing assistance with pharmacy services and products 
• Acting as a liaison to promote pharmacy immunization services 
• Additional light duties and soft skill requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • Inventory control
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Communication skills
  • Technical savviness (computer skills)
  • Punctual adherence to scheduled working hours

Pay rate is dependent on experience, certifications/licenses and location.
