Description

We are seeking a warm and welcoming individual who strives to foster restoration, relaxation and create calmness and serenity for all our clients.
The licensed massage therapist will be responsible for providing excellent client experiences as it relates to performing massage and body treatments. All massage and body treatments must be performed according to Aphros Beauty Permanent Make-Up & Spa policies, procedures, and service standards.

Requirements

* Must hold a current Alabama State Massage License.
* Must have a minimum completion of 650 accredited massage technician instructional education hours per state requirements.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and clients.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays. Some holidays, evenings, and/or mornings may be required if they fall on workdays.
* Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
* Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness.
* Ability to learn and perform a variety of new body treatments and massages of Aphros Beauty training standards.
* Be on time. Arrive prior to shift to start client services. Punctual, regular and reliable attendance.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
* Must have excellent verbal communication skills. * Basic math skill
* Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of Aphros Beauty goals.
* Must be able to be on feet for most of the day. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to perform multiple services during a shift. Must be able to work in a calm and quiet spa setting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepare room and tools necessary for scheduled treatments.
• Ensure treatment room and areas are clean and sanitized using approved sanitizing procedures.
• Restock treatment products in treatment areas.
• Remove soiled laundry and replenish in clean laundry.
• Perform a variety of massage modalities including deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology, lymph drainage techniques and hot stone massage.
• Any tasks deemed necessary by the manager to keep the massage room clean, stocked, and operating smoothly when performing your role.

Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based on organizational needs. Base pay, upgrade commission, and tips combined that average $40-$60 per 60 minute "hands-on" session.
