Cedars of Marin (------------) provides day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Cedars first opened its doors in 1919, and for more than a century our person-centered programs and services have supported tens of hundreds of clients in living creative, productive, joyous and healthy lives.
At the Cedars Fine Art Studio, artists use their creativity to develop as professional/working artists in a life-affirming environment in which individual skills are recognized and personal accomplishments are celebrated. Cedars artists receive guidance and mentoring from professional artists in the fields of fine art, expressive art, music, and jewelry making. Their finished products are then curated for Artist Within, the Cedars art gallery in downtown San Anselmo.
A Cedars Fine Arts Instructor must have excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to coordinate competing interests. This work is fun, creative, fulfilling and challenging! Compassion, patience, effective communication, and creative problem-solving are required.
