Director Erna Krouch Preschool

Our Director, who has served our pre-school for 27 years is retiring. We are looking for an equally committed leader to continue to guide and grow our school.

Erna Krouch Preschool is the oldest, continuously operating preschool in Oklahoma City. The preschool serves children from 2 years to pre-K and welcomes children of all races, creeds and ethnic origins.

All students receive weekly enrichment in music, Spanish and gross motor skills through Amazing Athletes. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that allows for creative expression, exploration, and the continued growth of confidence and self-esteem.

Duties

• Accountable for day-to-day operation of the preschool
• Supervise and evaluate staff
• Ensures excellence of curriculum
• Oversees classroom activities
• Conducts classroom observations and provides coaching as needed
• Mentors teachers
• Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures meet state requirements
• Ensures excellence of curriculum
• Works with staff to communicate effectively with both students and parents
• Oversees budget
• Supports strategies to maintain existing students and recruit new students
• Promotes a positive image of the school to parents and prospects

Qualifications/Requirements

• BA in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field; or the equivalent classroom/teaching experience
• Ability to work with children, parents and colleagues
