AUSTIN, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A family in Brushy Creek is looking for a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY to join their growing family. The mother is a stay-at-home mom and is looking for a team player who can primarily care for their 22-month-old son. They also have a 4-year-old daughter, and a newborn baby due in early April. The schedule is tentative, Monday to Friday, from 9/9:30 AM to 5/5:30 PM, but it may change day-to-day as they adjust to the baby's routine and when the father goes back to work. He will be home for the first 4-6 weeks after the baby is born, so FLEXIBILITY is key.

The primary care will be for their 22-month-old son, and the nanny will also need to pick up their daughter from preschool three days a week (may change to 5 days a week) from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM. If the daughter's nap affects her bedtime, the nanny may need to pick her up early at 12:45 PM while the son is napping from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The son is already sleep-trained, and the family will provide a brand new KIA Carnival minivan for the nanny, who must have a clean driving record.

The duties include light housekeeping such as tidying up after the children, folding and putting away the children's laundry, unloading the dishwasher, and preparing meals for their son and snacks for their daughter. Although the mother will primarily care for the newborn, there may be times when the nanny needs to assist with baby care.

Their son is sweet-natured, and introverted, but warms up quickly to kind caregivers. He is happy and easy-going but is starting to climb, so he needs to be watched closely. Their daughter is spirited, extroverted, and strong-willed, and needs someone who is empathetic, kind, patient and has strong boundaries.

The family is looking for a highly empathetic, warm, positive, and patient nanny with early childhood education or experience. They prefer someone with a background in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf. The family uses positive discipline and gentle parenting techniques but wants someone who is more experienced in these areas to help guide them with their 4-year-old. They need someone who is a go-getter, proactive, and genuinely wants to help make their lives easier during this adjustment period of going from 2 to 3 kids. They need someone who is structured and organized because it can get chaotic with small children. They also need someone who is active and can physically keep up with three small children and take them to the park, pool, splash pads, and indoor play gyms. The nanny does not need to take all the children to the pool at once, but they must be okay with getting in the water with them.

The ideal start date is March 5th, and the benefits are negotiable. The pay is $25-27/hr gross via payroll.
