The Swimming Swan is hiring seasonal lifeguards & swim instructors to work at the CHS Aquatics Center in Gilroy, CA. No experience necessary! We’re looking for people who love being outdoors, learning lifesaving skills, and working with a team and their community.

Seasonal, Part-Time

Up to 30-40 hours a week

Spring: Saturday, May 25 - Sunday, June 9, 2024 

• 4:30 - 7:30 PM (Weekdays)
• 12:00 - 5:00 PM (Weekends)

Summer: Tuesday, June 11 - Sunday, August 18, 2024 (Closed Mondays)

• Weekdays: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Weekends: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM  

Fall:  Saturday, August 24 - Sunday, September 1

• 12:00 - 5:00 PM (Weekends)

Duties: lifeguarding pool area & teaching group swim lessons to students ages 2+

Pay: $18.25 (LG only); $19 (LG and swim instructor)

We offer 50% reimbursement on all certification courses for new hires.

$300 Bonus: qualify with a full season of work (Summer 2024 - Memorial Day thru Sept 29)

$150 employee referral bonus after 30 days of employment

QUALIFICATIONS

Ages 15+

Ability to complete & pass an ARC or equivalent Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification

Ability to pass pre-employment verbal skills test

Ability to pass a swim and in-water skills test when applicable

All applicants are subject to background screenings and (when applicable) drug testing

Strong customer service background preferred
