Washashore Music is seeking a full and part-time Music Instructor to provide music instruction to students in Orleans, MA. The right candidate will be fluent in multiple musical instruments and capable of engaging students in various musical styles. We are looking for teachers who can teach guitar, bass, ukulele, violin/fiddle, voice, piano, wind instruments, and songwriting.

Position Responsibilities:

• Teach private and semi-private lessons
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a group or ensemble
• Requirements:
• Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to students
• Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson
• Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians a plus
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
