My Tutor and Me is looking for an experienced Latin tutor, who is available to work with students in their homes in Darien, CT and nearby towns. Candidate should be fluent in Latin and able to tutor students in at least up to the Latin III curriculum. Degree in Classics from a top school or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Recent college graduates are welcome to apply. At least one or two years tutoring experience is preferred. There are no non-compete agreements required, and tutors are welcome to work with other students outside of the company.

Main requirements:
- Work from a set curriculum, but have the flexibility to home in on individual weak areas
- Provide the students assignments that are in addition to classwork but specific to their weak areas
- Give advice regarding how students can improve both in regard to the material and study habits
- Speak with parents following each tutoring session regarding student progress and your study recommendations
- Reiterate progress report and study recommendations in a brief email to the parents following each session

Qualifications:
- Graduate of Ivy League or equivalent university is preferred but not required
- At least one to two years' experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
- Patience, empathy and a passion for helping students succeed
