Company Description

Monte Medical Billing works with providers around the country, specializing in Mental Health, OT/PT/SLP Therapies, and Naturopathy. We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller to support in all aspects of the Revenue Cycle, as well as Provider Credentialing.

Our ideal candidate will be local and available to come in office, at minimum, 3 times a month for group collaboration; however, a fully remote candidate will be considered with adequate proof of experience and HIPAA compliant workspace & required materials (i.e. computer, internet, phone line, etc.).

Role Description

This is a Part-Time contract hybrid role in which you will be responsible for communicating with insurance companies and other Monte Medical Billing employees to ensure that medical claims are processed accurately and in a timely manner. The Medical Biller will submit claims, resolve denials & rejections, and follow credentialing applications.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing or a related field required.
  • Experience with EMR systems. Preference to those with experience in SimplePractice, CharmHealth, TheraNest, and/or IntakeQ.
  • Impeccable organization and time management skills required throughout all tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record information and follow processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities between different accounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and reimbursement practices.
  • Associate degree or Verified Certification in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  • HIPAA Certification required. Preference given to those who can provide proof of current certification, but willing to pay for certification for the right candidate.
