Retail Sales Associate Job Description

The ideal candidate will have at least ONE YEAR retail experience, with excellent customer service, sales and/or print skills. Must be well-organized and professional. The candidate is expected to provide customers with efficient and effective service to exceed expectations while promoting products and services to meet their needs.

Responsibilities:
· Greet customers in a friendly manner; determine customer needs, and how to exceed their expectations.

· Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately.

· Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point of Sale system.

· Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.

· Receive and prepare documents for printing.

· Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, use ship manager software, and generating labels.

· Assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves with products, ensuring clean and orderly appearance of product

· Perform end of day duties: reconciliation of cash, checks, money orders, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure.

· Operate copiers, fax machines, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Help customers operate office machines located in retail area.

· Be Notary certified/eligible in North Carolina to perform Notary duties

· Daily housekeeping duties.

· Adhere to store policies and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

· Computer application knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Adobe

- Ability to work flexible hours

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 40-75 pounds
