We are looking for passionate and experienced math and reading tutors to help students fill in knowledge gaps in math and reading and prepare them for excelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in mathematics and reading, experience in tutoring, and an understanding of the needs of students.
Responsibilities:
Assess the student's current math and reading knowledge and skill level and develop a tailored learning plan to address their specific needs.
Provide engaging and interactive one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Utilize various teaching methods and strategies to accommodate students' unique learning styles and help them overcome challenges and develop problem-solving skills.
Regularly communicate with the student's parents/guardians, providing updates on progress and discussing any issues or concerns
Adapt teaching techniques to accommodate the needs of our students, ensuring their full engagement and comprehension during tutoring sessions. Relationship building is the cornerstone.
Track the student's progress and adjust the learning plan as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of math and reading curriculum and concepts
Experience working with gifted and ADHD students is a major bonus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both students and family.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students improve their math skills and confidence.
