Our company is hiring Mentors to work with a diverse group of members who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Mentor will be responsible to provide a qualified individual to supply needed services in order for an individual to remain in his/her home and/or participate in work/community activities. Mentors will work with their members to help them achieve their individual goals. Will be required to collect data and attend meetings about the progress that the members have made.

Responsibilities:

• Assistance and training related to personal and physical needs and routine daily living skills
• Providing general supervision to the member
• Opportunities for training and/or practice in basic life skills such as shopping, banking, money management, access and use of community resources, and community safety skills
• Assist each member in developing methods of starting and maintaining friendships of his/her choice, as well as appropriate assertiveness, social skills, and problem solving abilities for use in daily interactions.
• Provide opportunities for members to participate in community activities and facilitate member utilization of community resources.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Ability to Pass Backgrounds Checks
• Ability to Obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Card (Can be provided)
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid (Can be provided)
• Ability to obtain Article 9 (Can be provided)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
