Objective: Labor Driver the employee responsible for the collection of any and all product (clothing, shoes, and other articles) donated at a collection location defined to be located on specified routes within a defined area of operations or known as the “Market Area”. Certain aspects of the job will involve training conducted by the Regional Director of Operations and/or other employees of the company. This function may also include overseeing a Route Helper/Driver where assistance is deemed necessary by the company for a Labor Driver to complete the assigned task in a timely and safe manner.
Logistic Task: After proper training by company personnel, the Labor Driver is expected to perform the including but not limited to the following:
· Arrive at the assigned work location on or before the time scheduled to start work.
· Perform a maintenance check with the Daily Vehicle Checklist on all operating vehicles to assure all fluid levels, tire inflation, vehicle makers, etc. are working properly.
· Check to ensure that there is adequate fuel in the operating vehicle to run the entire daily route with sufficient reserves for safety.
· Each operating vehicle should have a printed or electric version of the Route Sheet for the assigned daily route he/she is to complete for the assigned shift.
· The collection locations that are listed on the Route Sheet must be in order to run the route in the most effective use of time and fuel.
· You are required to stop at each collection locations on the route to collect any and all items ; to present a clean and tidy appearance.
· At each stop on the route, you should ensure that the operating vehicle transmission is out of the drive gear and the parking brake is properly applied to guarantee the vehicle will not roll in any direction while at the collection locations.
· All company provided vehicles are required to be cleaned daily of all personal items and items brought to work in order to perform your job.
· Having an ample supply of collection bags, fueling vehicles daily, safety materials, etc. available at all times.
· Any and all product collected from any collection locations (including but not limited to wallets, money, etc.) is deemed the property of the company. Any action by any individual to take any collected items for personal gain or use without distinct approval by the Regional Director of Operations shall be viewed as an act of theft. The person(s) involved will be handled in an appropriate manner including but not limited to termination or legal prosecution.
·Labor Driver may be required to perform other logistic tasks in addition to the stated above on behalf of the company.
Responsibility Task: Managing a city or market will include but not limited to the determined city and surrounding areas. Areas may change as we expand our locations in the area (aka the targeted market area)
