Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Burgaw, NC is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (or eligible for licensure). Qualified applicant should have a strong work ethic, a friendly disposition and is able to work and communicate well with the entire veterinary team. Must be able to provide outstanding patient care and client service. This is a full-time position. Candidate must be available on alternating weekends and holiday's. Competitive salary based on licensure and experience. Candidate must be vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated for COVID 19. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview.

Education/Licensing
• Completed and graduated from AVMA accredited program.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as a veterinary technician through the NC Veterinary Medical Board.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Must be able to lift at least 40#
• Taking thorough patient history
• Client communication
• Excellent nursing care
• Assisting doctors with exams, procedures, and surgery
• Lab sample collection, preparation, and identification (ie. venipuncture, ear/fecal cytology, urinalysis, IDEXX analyzers)
• Induction and maintenance of anesthesia
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiology
• Prepare prescriptions
• Use of digital Radiology
- Inventory and Ordering medications

Job Type: Full-time M-F 7am-5pm and alternating Saturdays 8am-12pm

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:
• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:
• NC RVT license (Preferred or working towards)
