PAC Veterinary Service, LLC is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our 25th season of glacier dog sledding! Dr. Millman specializes in sled dog veterinary work.
You will work with Dr. Millman and be on site in Juneau and Skagway Alaska where PAC Services provide all of the medical care for sled dogs working in the summer. We are focused on a high level of medical care for our sled dogs. You can take a look at ------------ websites to get an idea of the sled dog companies you will be providing care for.
Alaska Icefield Expeditions sled dog camps are located on glaciers on the Juneau Icefield. Going to camp for frequent vet visits includes helicopter flights to our glacier based camps. Plenty of sightseeing and a continual variety of work throughout the season.
You’ll have what it takes for this position if you excel at understanding dog behavior, communication, and organizational skills, combined with compassion, attentiveness, and resiliency. You’ll also make a great fit for this opportunity if you are a certified Vet Technician or third year Vet Tech Student from an accredited program.
This job position includes provided housing and a meal allowance. We also include an end of season bonus for those who complete the entirety of the season beginning in the third week of April through the end of September.
