The Lodge is located about 30 miles east of Juneau, accessible only by boat or seaplane. It sits on the bank of the Taku River directly across from the Hole-in-the-Wall glacier. It is truly a one of a kind spot with amazing views, and opportunity to work hard and explore the wild Alaskan wilderness. Taku Lodge makes for a great place to spend a summer of work and play.
We are a day lodge that caters to the cruise ship passengers that visit Juneau every summer day. Tourists arrive on 10 passenger turbine powered sea planes. Our guests arrive after a 40 minute flight over 5 glaciers and the stunning Taku River valley. We host each group for 2 hours as they enjoy a home cooked meal, explore the trails and property, and take in the wilderness and its beauty. Each group returns to juneau the same day as we do not host overnight guests.
All staff live on site and room and board are part of the deal.
Don't miss this increadible opportunity to work and play hard in one of the most beautiful river valleys in the world.
We have several kitchen jobs, front house, gift store, and maintenance/guiding positions available. Please email mike at ------------ for more info and how to apply.
