SPA RECEPTIONIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary: Perform administrative, clerical, and customer service duties. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments for clients, greeting them at the front desk when they arrive, checking them in and providing them with any information they need while they wait. In addition to this role, you are also responsible for keeping records of each client, cashing clients out, answering phones, product sales, maintaining spa inventory, and promoting the spa by consistently marketing on social media platforms and with the Chamber of Commerce. Transitional cleaning of the spa and relaxation area will also be completed by the spa receptionist as needed. Lastly, you must maintain a moderately attractive appearance to sell the image of the spa to new and existing clients.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include any and/or all of the following:
- Warmly welcome and greet all clients
- Build and maintain positive client relationships
- Provide guidance to all clients on spa procedures
- Answer client calls and provide accurate information
- Keep reception area clean and conducive for all clients
- Introduce beauty products and educate all clients on their uses and benefits
- Keep clients updated on current available spa promotions and/or discounts
- Process client payments for services rendered in the spa
- Coordinate services offered in all departments of the spa and schedule clients accordingly
- Open and close the spa accordingly
- Balance cash drawer daily and immediately report any discrepancies to management
- Ensure reception area is consistently clean and organized
- Obtain client feedback to continuously improve service delivery
- Properly report any client cancellations in a timely manner
- Develop and/or assist with promotional events
- Receive client complaints and direct them to management
- Consistently promote and market the spa on all social media platforms (daily)
- Manage and maintain spa advertising schedules (daily)
- Maintain vast knowledge of products and services offered in the spa
- Inform all clients of newly introduced products and services
- Promote spa image by consistently maintaining a moderately attractive image
- Client record keeping and payment collection for services rendered in the spa

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience equivalent to: High school diploma or equivalent, plus minimum one (1) year of reception work experience, product sales and marketing/advertising within a medispa.
