Tahoe Family Hearing Clinic, PC a privately-owned Audiology practice in South Lake Tahoe, CA is seeking an Audiologist to add to our team. We have been helping patients in our community since September 2022 and are passionate about providing both the best patient experience and industry leading hearing healthcare technology the market has to offer. The Audiologist will be responsible for hearing evaluations, fittings, and follow-up care for all ages 0 through 99+. Additionally, the Audiologist will provide counsel, guidance, and education to patients in order to help them realize the best solution to treat their hearing loss. Ideal candidates shall be empathetic and supportive of their patients, have excellent communication skills, and have specific experience fitting patients with hearing amplification devices.

The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role:
- Conduct diagnostic comprehensive hearing evaluations
- Collect and review patient’s medical history, including any relevant medical conditions or medications
- Educate patients and their families about the nature of their hearing loss and the benefits and limitations of different amplification options
- Executes a treatment plan through excellent counseling and education
- Recommend and fit proper hearing devices based on patient’s hearing loss, lifestyle, and preferences
- Program and adjust hearing aids to meet the individual needs of each patient
- Provide information on hearing aid care, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Assist in clinical administrative functions including phone calls, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records including assessment results, treatment plans, and communication with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain confidentiality of all business and patient information
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- May also be involved in marketing and public outreach, including community events, lunch and learns, health fairs, and senior living events
- Keep up-to-date with advances in audiology and hearing aid technology through continuing education and training
To ensure success candidates should also possess the following EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Demonstrated experience building strong positive relationships with patients, strategic vendors, and community members
- Masters or Doctorate in Audiology
- Active CA Dispensing license or eligible for licensure
- Experience working with multiple different hearing aid manufacturers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
- Proficiency with Google Suite of products
- Applicant is expected to have extensive experience working with industry standard electronic medical records platform(s)
