Who we are:

studio 2G Architects is located in the beautiful downtown of San Luis Obispo, in the heart of the Central Coast of California, known for its historic architecture, vineyards, and outdoor activities. We are a women-led, close-knit boutique firm, with 18 years in business. We are recognized for our transformative designs, contributing to our community, holding high standards for design and sustainable principles, and excellent working relationships with our Clients. We are looking for a creative collaborative person to join and be part of our Team. Design work will include new construction and renovation projects across federal, state, commercial, hospitality, and residential sectors.

We are seeking:

A recent graduate, with a professional degree in architecture, with 0-2 years of experience to join our team. Qualifications should include:

• Bachelor of Architecture degree
• Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings, sketches, and information
• Effective graphic visualization and rendering skills are required
• Excellent communication (verbal) skills are a must
• Able to support in the preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction documents under the supervision of an Architect, Project Manager or Job Captain
• Generates revisions and corrections from redlined drawings and project document sets
• Prepares and checks as-built drawings

Beneficial Applicant Skills:

• Proficient in Revit/BIM. Understanding of VectorWorks is preferred by candidates working efficiently in the program.
• Proficiency in 3D rendering software
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a good work ethic, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Location:

We require in-office work for collaborative efforts and the learning of the practice itself. This is a full-time position, with the option of alternative workweek schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
