Spotted Horse Ranch is unique in our location with reference to the town of Jackson, WY. We are located 30 minutes south of town which sets us 45 minutes from Grand Teton National Park and 1.5 hours from Yellowstone. Our proximity to these world-famous areas is a huge attraction for both our guests and staff. Downtown Jackson is also a huge draw with great restaurants, unique shopping, museums, art galleries, and a thriving nightlife on the square.
One of the many perks is taking advantage of the breathtaking scenery while hiking, horseback riding and fly fishing during your time off! The ranch sits right on the banks of the Hoback river and is surrounded by the Bridger-Teton National Forest as well as the Gros Ventre Wilderness Area. These public lands offer the ability to explore anywhere you desire!
We are a family friendly ranch with a max compacity of 36 guests. Many young children are here during the summer season. We have lots of supplies for different activities to keep the kids occupied if they their parents want to leave them behind during their ranch activities.

Someone who works well as an individual as our childcare coordinator position is a standalone job. We are committed to providing best in class service and an excellent experience to both our staff and guests.
We need adaptable workers who are attentive and responsible as the average workday on the ranch can be fast paced and changing. The childcare coordinator is expected to take GREAT care of children of all ages and be available to assist parents if needed. A positive attitude and ability to be patient and communicate with a wide variety of personalities is imperative.
Here is a short job description with an example of duties:
Salary: $1,600 per month, meals and housing included. $350 monthly bonus is earned and paid out at the end of the season if your contract is completed.
Childcare Coordinator Schedule (when childcare is requested): Monday- Saturday 8:30am – 4:00pm (Sundays off) Schedule is subject to change.
Season: May 1st – Aug. 31st, with an option to stay through end of season (transfer to Cabin-Staff or other area that needs assistance).
You will be responsible for designing programs that engage the children in your care. Ages vary every week. We will supply you with appropriate items to make your programs a success.
Examples of Activities:
Indoor: drawing, painting, coloring, postcards, card games, puzzles, billiards, arts, and crafts, singing, etc.
Outdoor: flag football, football, volleyball, soccer, paddleball, badminton, softball, potato, sack races, hikes/walks rock art, line dancing, imaginative play, hot tub, horseshoes, scavenger hunts, walking horse rides for children under 5 years old.
Childcare (ages 4-17) is included as a part of guests stay and is available Monday – Friday from 9am – 3:30pm (hours may vary, depending on the needs). Children will eat lunch at 12:30pm with parents in dining room, except during Wednesday’s All Day Trail Ride. Childcare is available on Saturday, by appointment only. Children 3 and under is an additional charge of $50 for a half day and $100 for a full day. Select Cabin Staff employees will be cross trained to assist the Childcare coordinator.
