We are seeking a full-time (9:00 am - 5:00 pm, M-F) Assistant Teacher for one of our two multi-age group classrooms (ages 2.9 - 6 years of age). The Montessori Assistant Teacher plays a critical role in the smooth running of the classroom. They are responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher through the preparation and maintenance of the classroom environment; tone-keeping so that children may receive uninterrupted lessons; and helping to manage snack, toileting, and transitions between environments. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are necessary as the Assistant Teachers will interact with children, parents/families, and colleagues on a daily basis, sharing observations as necessary.

• Positive, enthusiastic attitude, ability to adapt to change, and attention to detail;
• Love and respect for children;
• Strong desire to be part of a team;
• Spanish language skills a plus;
• MA State EEC teacher certification or willingness to work towards EEC Preschool teacher certification;
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
• Basic computer skills;
• Associates degree or higher preferred;
• Montessori training or experience preferred but not essential;
• CORI/SORI background record check certification.
