Dr. Lance Vander Giessen is seeking to hire four days of dental hygiene for Mondays through Thursdays. We are available for job sharing with multiple hygienists or a single full-time opportunity.

Would you like to work in a positive dental environment where you can feel proud of the contributions you make and are recognized, and compensated for your efforts?  One of our two full-time hygienists is unfortunately moving out of the county and we will need four days of hygiene starting in mid-January 2024.  As a hygienist at this practice, you can expect the following:

• Pay will be a competitive hourly wage – DOE – ranging from $55-$60 per hour for full-time
• Paid in-office dental care
• Medical insurance amount of $550 per month
• Vacation, well pay, holiday pay
• Simple IRA retirement matching program
• Dental assistants help with every periodontal charting
• Air Purifiers throughout the office and in each treatment room

The ideal candidate will exhibit reliability and trustworthiness while providing comfortable hygiene services, paying close attention to periodontal needs, and discussing treatment options to help patients in their decision-making process. Daily duties will include radiographs, help with comprehensive exams, prophies, SRP, periodontal maintenances, periodontal chartings (always with the help of an assistant), clinical notes, room turnover (often with the help of an assistant), sterilization (often with the help of an assistant), sharpening instruments, and smiling.

We are a one dentist practice with a dedicated staff that puts a high priority on teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in dentistry.  We are mostly a paperless office and are utilizing many aspects of our patient software program.  A strong experience with Dentrix is highly preferred.

Most days we have 2 staff in the front office, 2 dental hygienists, and 3 dental assistants to utilize our 5 treatment rooms.  Very excitingly, we have an office space that is about three years old and almost completely furnished with A-dec equipment - including our operator chairs, patient chairs, delivery units, overhead lights, sterilization area, and mechanical room.
