Job Description:

Must be 18 yrs of age, have a valid drivers license, and proof of insurance. This position entails providing in-home care for a developmentally disabled gentleman in his lovely home located in Weston. Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right person for the job.

Hours:

Every other Saturday and Sunday day shift:* 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.*

Every other Saturday and Sunday overnight shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Or, if preferred candidate can choose to work every Saturday and Sunday overnight shift.

Job Duties:

· Planning and participating in activities with the individual out in the community or in the home

· Redirecting the individual when exhibiting inappropriate behaviors

· Transport and accompany individual to activities and medical appointments as needed in vehicles which may include a car or van.

· Participating in grocery shopping and preparing meals

· Assisting with various house cleaning duties

· Assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, administering medications, and other hygiene and daily living activities

· Recording all pertinent information and reporting to a direct supervisor

Qualifications:

· Applicants must be at least 18 years or older

· Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and proof of insurance REQUIRED

· Direct care experience preferred but willing to train the right person

· Desire to help clients improve the quality of their lives to the best of their abilities

· Dependability is crucial as the client cannot be left alone.

· Caring and compassion are necessary
