Graduate Intern - Psychotherapy and Counseling Services

Location: Randallstown

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Graduate Intern to join our dynamic team in the Psychotherapy and Counseling Services department. This position is ideal for a graduate student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of mental health and counseling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
• Engage in client assessments and intake procedures.
• Provide support in crisis intervention situations as needed.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings, supervision sessions, and professional development workshops.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
• Assist with research and administrative tasks related to psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines as set by the profession.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Master’s program in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in mental health, counseling, and psychotherapy.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Basic understanding of counseling theories and practices.
