As a Preschool Teacher aide at Cheverly Weekday Nursery you will help young minds explore, discover and understand the world around them.

We are seeking an  enthusiastic Preschool Teacher Aide to help implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Cheverly Weekday Nursery Play Base Learning approach to teaching and learning.

We provide a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from 2 through 5.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interacts with children at their level (stoop and bend) both physically and verbally throughout the day
• Evaluates and analyzes student learning
• Observes and responds to children’s needs, emergencies, and conflicts that might occur in a classroom, on the playground, in bathrooms, or in common areas
• Helps children with personal hygiene and with keeping classroom clean and organized
• Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
• Meets with staff, and administration and attends staff meetings and other events as needed/requested
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
• Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, at least 95% of the day
• supports lead teachers by supervising students, providing one-on-one or small-groups, managing classroom behavior, and maintaining an organized, safe environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17- $18 per hour
