Since 2006, the Iowa Organic Association has been a statewide leader in advancing organic agriculture and food systems in Iowa by providing technical support, delivering educational programs and resources, organizing advocacy efforts, and strengthening community partnerships.

We are seeking an Organic Farm Advisor who is passionate about expanding organic resources and opportunities in Iowa to join our team. The Organic Farm Advisor will provide point-of-contact support for Iowa farmers looking for resources and guidance about organic transition and production. Additionally, the Organic Farm Advisor will lead the Organic Mentorship Program, create Organic Systems Plans for transitioning farmers, and conduct education and outreach activities to increase farmer knowledge and confidence in organic production. This is a new, full-time position at IOA with room to develop programs and activities that meet the needs of Iowa's growing organic community.

The ideal candidate will reside in Iowa (does not have to be Des Moines); have a farming background; be knowledgeable about organic production (or willing and excited to learn) and have experience developing and leading education and outreach activities (webinars, field days, attend conferences, etc.).  Visit ------------/jobs to view the position description. 

Pay Range: $45,000 – $60,000/year commensurate based on experience.

Benefits: 8 paid holidays and 2-weeks PTO; remote work setting; flexible work schedule M-F during normal business hours (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.); occasional weekends (conferences/field days). As we continue to grow as an organization, we continue to evaluate opportunities to expand these benefits.
