The primary responsibilities of the part-time worship leader will be to lead and grow the music worship ministry at West Oxford Baptist Church. This person is directly accountable to the Senior Pastor.

Spiritual growth
Continue to grow and mature as a godly person of integrity. Pursue being a Christ follower so that he/she can model and mentor what that is to those around him/her.
 

Congregational leadership
Provide leadership, vision, and passion for WOBC in the area of music worship ministries that is in line with the church’s overall vision, purpose and mission.
Lead in creating and implementing new worship opportunities which align with the mission and vision at WOBC
 

Music leadership
Coordinate with the Senior Pastor to create and lead  well-planned and engaging worship services. This includes leading the Sunday Worship service and overseeing the worship team (vocalists and instrumentalists) as well as any visual aids required (Propresenter).
Responsibilities include preparation for and leading rehearsals, as well as consulting with the Senior Pastor to coordinate the music for the Sunday services.
Assist in planning, implementing and leading worship for special events outside of Sunday worship services.
 

Budget responsibilities
Develop and administer an annual budget for the worship ministry in accordance with the financial policies of the church.
 

Leadership team participation
Attend staff meetings and participate in the planning and implementation of church programs that will fulfill the mission and vision of the church.
Perform other duties as required by Senior Pastor
 

Qualifications:

1.      Active member of WOBC who attends most services and activities, or willing and qualified to join the membership of WOBC upon hiring in full agreement of our statement of faith.

2.      Proficiency to lead worship both vocally and with a guitar and/or keyboard.

3.      Able to fulfill the required scheduling on this position. It is anticipated that the duties associated with this position will take approximately 10 to 12 hours per week.

Salary: $10,000 per year
