Northwest Woodworks, LLC. is a commercial casework manufacturer located in Woodinville, WA and is seeking a drafting engineer.

The individual in this role will use AutoCAD, Microvellum, and other applications to create shop drawings for client review and manufacturing purposes. The individual will learn how to process CNC cut lists and G-Code, as well as custom CNC programs to assist with our products.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Reading and interpreting architectural construction documents.

- Gather pertinent information related to the project including material and hardware specifications.

- Drafting casework and millwork per project documents and quotes, and per Northwest Woodworks standards and details.

- Attend meetings and/or site visits as required to gather information needed to proceed with production.

- Revise shop drawings with field dimensions and client notes.

- Utilize Microvellum to generate CNC work orders and cut lists for manufacturing.

- Coordinate with the Northwest Woodworks Operations Dept. to ensure schedule is adhered to.

Requirements to succeed:

- Ability to read blue prints and construction documents.
- Experience drafting with AutoCAD is required.
- Ability to develop portions of a project with little oversight.
- Knowledgeable in architectural drafting and detailing techniques.
- Strong design skills.
- Technical understanding of construction and processes.
- An interest in growing with the company.
- Experience using Microvellum is desired, but not required.

The candidate should be well-groomed and present a professional appearance as they will be representing Northwest Woodworks in and out of the office.

Compensation DOE, and negotiable depending on previous experience in related fields of architecture, cabinetry, casework, millwork, construction, etc.

Salary: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
