Some of the highlights of joining the team at Genesis Family include:

  • Working for a Christian, biblically-based organization that stands behind its mission to” restore the family unit to God’s original design.”
  • Helping develop a small, but rapidly growing mental health organization, with whom you can grow along with as a professional.

Tanya, Therapist at Genesis Family: “What I love most about my job is creating a space for my clients to heal from past trauma and walk in the fullness of the freedom God intended for them. “

This is what you’ll do as a therapist at Genesis Family:

As a therapist, you are responsible for providing mental health care to clients. You will see roughly 17-25 clients per week, but never more than 25, when working fulltime. This translates to 4 to 5 sessions per workday. A typical day consists out walking into the office, consulting any matters with your colleagues, and then diving into your 50-minute sessions, leaving you 10 minutes to write your notes and collect your thoughts before the next client. After your sessions, you finish writing the notes you had for a day. Once you finish your administrative duties, you can specialize in another area of your choosing: Marketing, clinical research or volunteer work for our non-profit organization.

Who we are looking for:

In terms of a profile, we are looking for someone who understands our mission and value and subscribes to our core beliefs in restoring the family unit to God’s original design. We are looking for a therapist with a passion for helping the family unit as a whole, which means you enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, married couples, etc. Of course, every therapist has his/her preference in clientele, but you understand that restoring mental health in families is the key to mental health for each individual in the long run. We are looking for someone who has a hands-on mentality, strong social skills and likes to have innovative ideas on how to improve our treatment plans or organizational growth.

This is where you will work:

Genesis Family Foundation LLC is a professional organization; right now, it consists out of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as an Addiction Recovery Coach, that specializes in Sex & Pornography addictions. You would be the first additional hire to the founders’ team, but within a year after getting you on board we already hope to add another licensed therapist as well as another Addiction Recovery Coach. We are growing exponentially, and getting clients is not going to be an issue for us. We do want to make sure that everyone’s work-life balance is in order, and that means that our organization does not do crisis calls/interventions. We all work hard when we are on the job, but also believe in respecting our team’s private life when we are off the clock. Our working hours are from Tuesday to Friday 9AM – 6PM, and on Saturday from 9AM – 5PM. On Sunday’s and Mondays, we are closed and you get to enjoy your weekend.

Job Requirements

  • You are a Licensed therapist (either provisionally licensed as an associate or fully licensed) in the state of Texas (BHEC).
  • You are willing to see both clients in person as well as virtual (telehealth), although the majority of our clients do come in person.
  • You are excited about working with different groups of people, ages and demographics.
  • You are willing to work Saturdays, but you’ll be free every Monday in return. (If you prefer to changes this to Monday-Friday, you can choose to do so after an initial onboarding period).
  • You recognize yourself in the mission and vision statement of our organization, as well as our statement of faith (these can be found on our website, ------------ . Once we receive your application, we will confirm receiving your application within 2 working days.

If you qualify and meet our requirements based on your resume and letter, we will invite you for an interview. We may have a second round of interviews in case this is necessary, after which we will make you an offer if we are a match. We will strive to complete the entire hiring process within 2 weeks.
