We're currently hiring for Independent Contractors in the Ann Arbor, MI area and surrounding school districts.

We are seeking multiple reliable and responsible School Transportation Drivers to transport students to and from school in Ann Arbor, MI for the 2023-2024 school year. The School Transportation Driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of students on a designated route, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school, following a designated route and schedule.
• Ensure that all passengers are seated and secure before departing and arriving at each stop.
• Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving, including using proper signaling, obeying speed limits, and maintaining a safe following distance.
• Conduct a pre-trip and post-trip inspection of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any defects or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and parents as needed, including addressing any concerns or issues that arise during transportation.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation, including driver logs, mileage records, and incident reports, as required.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must have a personal vehicle in good working condition (MUST pass a vehicle inspection, bi-annually)
• Must meet all vehicle requirements including proof of current, valid auto insurance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a background check & drug test.
• Must be able to complete and pass the MI Chaffeur's Driver's License Test
• Complete PASS Basic Online Training
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to follow a designated route and schedule.
• Must be able to work early morning AND afternoon hours.
