The Opportunity

We are seeking an Admissions Operations & Mail Specialist. The Admissions Operations & Mail Specialist is a critical position responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of admissions inquiries and execution of admissions direct mail. The successful candidate will join a productive enrollment operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards or optical scanners.
  • Retrieve test scores and Common Application inquiries.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and check output.
  • Process and disburse incoming mail.
  • Investigate returned mail and update information in Slate.
  • Coordinate large volume mailings including printing, labeling, and transfer to mail services.
  • Inventory all publications and ensure adequate supply.
  • Hire, train and supervise student assistants to perform accurate data entry.
  • Provide backup for front desk reception and route incoming calls.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

The successful candidate must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm for work and the ability to take initiative. Must show commitment for working as a team member and/or independently as situations require. The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic along with flexibility and creativity. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with the use of technological skills in recruitment. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of admissions related experience is preferred.
