Details:
Pay: $15-$20/ hour depending on experience
Shift and Schedule: 20-25 hours per week; Weekends and flexible weekday hours
No horse experience required
Description:
At The CREW Urban Youth Equestrians, our students are welcomed with empathy, compassion and love. We provide a multi-layered experiential learning model where students learn horse husbandry, anatomy and natural horsemanship skills; which starts on the ground and progresses through to ridden work. Youth are encouraged to trust themselves and their choices as they develop the emotional and technical skills needed to become successful with the horses and in life.
The Program Assistant will work closely with the Program Director in supporting lessons with our students, caring for our 3 horses and working on administrative projects as needed. Our ideal candidate is someone who is caring, has excellent interpersonal communication skills, and is open to new ideas & perspectives.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be a MN resident
Must have a valid Driver’s License
Must have reliable transportation
Must have Microsoft Office Suite & Google Workspace experience
Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
Must be willing to learn and practice mindfulness techniques
Must be able to safely lift & carry at least 25 pounds
Must have excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within BIPOC communities
Experience with Social/Emotional Learning principles & practice
