The Justin Elicker for Mayor campaign is seeking reliable canvassers with excellent communication skills to educate voters on Mayor Elicker’s campaign platform and accomplishments, persuade undecided voters, and turn our supporters out to vote in the September 12 Democratic primary election. This position will be based out of New Haven, Connecticut. This is a part-time, entry level position and prior canvassing or political experience is preferred but not required to apply. Training will be provided.

Compensation is $20/hr.

Responsibilities include:
* Door to door canvassing to communicate campaign messaging to voters.
* Accurate and complete reporting of results using MiniVan.
* Participating in training and team meetings to improve the quality of outreach engagement.


Qualifications:
● Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to discuss political issues.
● Commitment to the values and beliefs of Mayor Elicker’s platform.

● Able to maintain a high level of energy and positive attitude.
● Ability to canvass for multiple hours.
● Reliable access to transportation to our Campaign office at 506 Whalley Ave.
● Reliable access to a smartphone.
