SUBSTATION TECHNICIAN POSITION AVAILABLE (1) General Construction or electrical background helpful but not required. This position's current schedule is two weeks on one week off. Some flexibility. US Department of Labor Apprenticeships available. VA approved. Work safely while assisting in various tasks such as demolition, site preparation, excavating, backfilling and landscaping, trenching, pole setting, cable labeling, and other high voltage related tasks such as construction clean-up. • Assist with installing transformer and transformer banks, bus structures and switchgear, lines (underground/overhead), ground grid-control buildings, and other related substation material tasks, • Will work with man baskets, skid steers, shovels, compactors, back hoes and other industry equipment, • Frequently work around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care, • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order, • Other duties as assigned, • Able to learn job specific procedures including: identifying and using different types of materials used, safety procedures, and installation procedures, • Must be able to handle various tools as well as proper maintenance of tools, • Must be able to work outside frequently in inclement weather, to include heat, cold, rain and snow, • Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs., as well as working at slightly elevated heights (up to 24 ft, occasionally may go up to 80ft) and/or confined spaces, • Background in general construction or electrical a plus, • Travel required, per diem payable, • Benefits; major medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K with match, Incentive Bonus Program, PTO (personal time off), • Salary DOE EMAIL info @------------
