Chemistry Teacher
WESTSIDE CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL (LOCATED IN TIGARD, OR) IS SEEKING A PERMANENT, FULL-TIME CHEMISTRY TEACHER FOR THE 2023/2024 SCHOOL YEAR OFFERING COMPETITIVE PAY AND A SIGNING BONUS.
Purpose for the Position: The Teacher is primarily responsible for providing a classroom environment in which students have the opportunity to experience personal growth in the academic, relational, and spiritual aspects of their lives. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program specific to his or her course(s) that will result in students achieving this growth in accordance with the mission and vision of Westside Christian High School. Responsibilities could include teaching a combination of the following:
Grade 10 Chemistry
AP Chemistry (11th & 12th Grade)
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Masters and Licensure are preferred.
A valid Teaching Certificate applicable to subject area (specific grade level and area endorsements strongly preferred).
Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
Demonstration of experience with positive relationships with high-school aged students.
An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the school’s mission, including signed agreement with WCHS Statement of Faith.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position.
