Fitness Science Coach
Simultaneously elevating our members' performance and healthspan.
Hiring a coach passionate about teaching but more so about learning in this ever-growing, ever-changing field.
Successful applicants must at least be certified to teach movement for group and private instruction with personal and corporate fitness consulting company established for 32 years
• must be insurable with degree, diploma, or certification in the field
• a discerning eye for functional movement quality is essential
• must demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, the ability to establish rapport, and character beyond reproach - any other additional skills will be considered in your application (IT, social media, equipment maintenance)
• a high level of fitness and functional movement proficiency is a strong asset
• other duties may include assisting at promotional events, assisting with development of instructional media for clients, administrative duties, and gym maintenance
• part-time independent contract position pays based on work billed to clients, group sessions instructed, floor supervision hours billed, or administrative hours billed
• HQ facility is located near Olympic Village business district
• successful applicant will be required to immediately take over instructing fitness classes as required from our HQ and other gyms managed by our company

Fitness Science is a corporate fitness consulting company with a historic foundation in personal coaching. Our mission is to simultaneously boost performance and healthspan of our members with our products and services. Our members come predominantly from the employees of progressive businesses which are our clients. We deliver our programs through corporate fitness amenities on-site in the workplace for these corporate clients. Among our services is the design, development, equipping, and maintenance of these amenities.
Presently we provide group training (classes), personal coaching, fitness/wellness workshops and seminars, therapeutic medical treatments (RMT/Acu/Physio), and corporate fitness events (challenges, team-building events, etc) from 4 corporate campuses in the Lower Mainland. One of these is through a single-business amenity and three are through corporate amenities servicing multiple businesses. We also do short-term project contracts with businesses on a one-off basis. To date, our corporate client list has included Pixar, Activision, Hothead Games, Ritchie Bros, Samsung, and Cirque du Soleil. We are seeking new corporate clients on an ongoing basis.
