Dental Assistant
Job description
We are hiring an experienced dental assistant to take on a leadership role to help make our office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You’ll ensure excellent customer service of the clinical staff while assisting the dentist in all matters. Dental assistants who apply should be well-organized with great attention to detail and be able to provide direct and indirect patient care involving IV sedation, oral surgery and a wide variety of general dentistry to make clinic procedures as smooth as possible. You must have all current certifications and be willing to undergo a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
Use leadership skills to facilitate dental assistant team
Help maintain dental supplies
Ensure patients feel welcomed into practice
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Assist the dentist chair-side
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Maintain accurate patient records
Skills
Proven experience and leadership as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Good computer skills
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Additional certification or training is an asset

Salary: $28,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
