Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide support and guidance to students in their learning and development
- Help with behavior management and maintain a positive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom organization and setup
- Supervise students throughout the day
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson plans, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping with classroom management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, strong communication skills, and a passion for education.
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be engaged in physical exercise with children such as walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting, etc.
- Must have visual and earing acuity
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Other Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understna English fluently
- Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check
- Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS)
-Work shifts between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday - Friday
- CPR and First Aid certified or ability to become certified within first 60 days of employment
