Cahier or Baker's Assistant:
Good Company Coffee and pastries is looking for the right person to assist our Lead Bakers while learning the skills necessary to themselves become a future Baker and join our strong team.
Our bakery is located at 5714 Connecticut Ave NW,Washington,DC 20015

Responsibilities:
Taking care of customers
Assist baker in cooking and preparations of breakfast, pastries, and other items.
Maintain the premises of the baking area in a neat and hygienic manner.
Assist baker in lifting heavy sacks of flour and other baking items.
Assist bakers in operating baking machineries and implements.
Maintain and sanitize baking utensils, tools, implements and machinery.
Assist the baker to develop and create bakery products and recipes.
Ensure total customer satisfaction.
Strictly adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing bakery products
Be timely and dependable
Able to work independently and as a cooperative member of a team
Basic understanding of mixing methods
Basic ability to follow time and temperature guidelines
Ability to work by yourself and with a team
Available on weekends and holidays
Ability to work an 8 hour shift, and sometimes a little longer
