Willow Creek Forest School is an all outdoor preschool for children ages 3 to 5 years of age. We are a recorded program with the state of Oregon. Our school runs Tuesdays - Fridays, 9:30 - 1:30, with aftercare from 1:30 - 3pm. WCFS is a small program with 10 children and 2 teachers at any given time. Our focus is on connecting children to the natural environment through games, activities and weekly hikes into Tryon Creek State Natural Area. We are looking for a third person to join our team! The position is for a teacher's assistant, though we are open to also having a third co-teacher if it is the right fit, and running our aftercare program. The position is between 10 and 20 hours per week and starting wage is $20 - $28 depending on experience and title of position.

Responsibilities

*Supervise children during school hours

*Provide disruption and redirection to children when they are acting outside of our behavior expectations

*Assist teachers when needed

*Minor cleaning and disinfecting of classroom space, dishes and tables

Qualifications

*A minimum of 3 years experience working with children

*First Aid - bonus if you have it (We can provide this training for you if needed)

*Food Handler's Permit

*A patient and kind demeanor

*Ability to set and maintain boundaries with students

*Skills to effectively manage student's behavior and enthusiasm

*Comfortability of being alone with up to 5 children during aftercare
