Optometric Technician

Growing Optometry Practice is expanding and looking to hire an experienced full-time and/or part-time Optometric Technician.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

Multitasking office skills required in a busy Optometric practice
Answering phones and scheduling patient appointments
Insurance Verification
Data input into our electronic health records software
Prescreening patients as part of preparation for eye examination
Checkout patients by processing payments & scheduling aftercare and recall appointments
Additional

Performs other work as needed by the Practice Mgr
Microsoft Office knowledge primarily Word and Excel
Ability to learn browser-based Electronic Health Record software
Ability to learn how to acquire patient insurance benefits and review eligibility
Ability to learn how to utilize additional equipment for patient procedures and tests
Education/Experience:

Certified paraoptometric (CPO) preferred
Combination of 1-2 years of education and/or experience in a medical/optometric practice preferred
All training will be provided
Practice Training provided
Wage commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Part-time position 20-24 hours average/ week. Full-time position up to 32 hours / week.
