Varsity Squash Coach
GIRLS & BOYS VARSITY SQUASH HEAD COACH
LOUISVILLE COLLEGIATE SCHOOL
REPORTS TO:
Director of Athletics
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Girls and Boys Varsity Squash Head Coach is responsible for educating student-athletes within the LCS Squash program so that they achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for commitment, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in competitive squash; coaching experience is highly desirable
Proven ability to foster a constructive and joyful environment for students to develop
Knowledge of adolescent social, emotional, and physical growth and development
Experience scheduling and coordinating events
Record of integrity
The ability to encourage and inspire young people to perform at a high level
Experience in managing assistant coaches
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a strong team culture that teaches to the cornerstones of the school: Respect, Compassion, Responsibility, and Honor
Display leadership, high moral standards, and professional behavior
Develop a strong working relationship with assistant coaches, mentoring when necessary
Complete and/or assist with all administrative duties including, but not limited to:
All KHSAA & school required courses/certifications, season scheduling, roster management, game-day operations, score reporting, transportation, management of staff and student-managers, distribution and collection of uniforms, attendance at coaches’ meetings, participation at school and athletic department special events, and other administrative duties as assigned
Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherences to KHSAA, KAIS, Louisville Collegiate School, and Athletic Department rules and regulations
Support the mission of the school and the athletics department, while positively and effectively leading the student-athletes
Achieve competitive results that demonstrate athletic excellence
Other related duties as assigned
