Our Tigard high paced general practice office is looking for an experienced dental hygienist. This position is part time with a possible full time option 2-4 days a week. We are seeking someone who is a friendly team player, adaptable, and detail oriented.

Required qualifications

• Current valid dental hygiene license
• CPR certification
• Local anesthetic certification

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Clean and help protect patients’ teeth
• Take X-rays or dental impressions
• Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
