Retail Store Manager
SOUTHWIND ORCHARDS
Seeking full-time seasonal market manager (mid-July through late November)
Market manager at Southwind maintains day-to-day operations of the orchard market, provides leadership to market staff, and works closely with management to develop long term plans for growth and success. Weekend availability is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
setup store, plan opening
manage outdoor space around market (gardens, etc.)
recruit market staff and set work schedules
provide policy and procedure training to market staff
research and place product orders
set prices
inventory apple supplies and submit requests for harvest
maintain QC records of all apples handled in store
set up and maintain cash register and cc machine
run daily sales reports
open and close market
supervise market staff
regularly maintain social media (facebook, website) and print ads
sort, bag and stock apple supply
update cash register records
clean or assign cleaning of store, restrooms, and surrounding areas
schedule and prepare for store tours
keep up-to-date and follow all rules regarding health and safety
monitor and document store cooler checks and calibrations
provide a pleasant shopping experience to market guests

QUALIFICATIONS
friendly, people-person; good at working with a variety of people
familiarity with/ability to learn about apple varieties
computer skills
lifting up to 40# bags, bending is necessary
