Hiring Fully Licensed Therapist, 1099 Position

Wellpower Counseling is looking for therapists who are autonomous and collaborative-minded!

As the owner of Wellpower Counseling, my interest in expanding my practice is to support other therapists. I had underwhelming experiences as a graduate intern and I know what it’s like to work as an associate level therapist making such a low wage, I did not qualify for exempt status while working in a position that saw high turnover rates due to the demanding nature of the work. I want more for therapists as a group and for mental health as a field. The world is in dire need of therapists who make this sacrifice and while it is fulfilling, I believe this sacrifice is more fulfilling when done with the confidence of knowing there is someone behind you who wants to help you succeed.

Things you should know about me:
I love to learn; I read and go to trainings as much as I can manage
I continue with my own clinical and business consultation on a monthly basis
I have yet to stop transforming my business (I am big into ongoing efforts to learn, grow, and advance)
I am a certified clinical trauma professional and I have started the process of becoming certified in Brainspotting
I have become a neuroscience nerd

Qualities I am looking for in a therapist:
An LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or the equivalent in the state of Georgia.
Sound judgment, keen critical thinking skills, and willingness to ask questions when necessary, especially related to legal or ethical issues
Exemplary written and oral communication skills
Interested in fulfilling their duties as therapist according to best practices
Willingness and interest in participating in team meetings
Acknowledge this is a 1099 contract position in which you will do your own taxes, set your own schedule, contribute marketing yourself independent of The Practice, and making decisions that impact your ability to attract new clients
Your own laptop and internet connection and phone service
Open-minded, accepting and supportive of other races, backgrounds, identities, and other cultural perspectives and realities other than your own
Optional (will increase attractiveness of your application):
Would like to work with preteens/teens
Certification in Brainspotting, EMDR, DBT, or another specialized treatment
Interest in contributing to The Practice website and social media to build your visibility and credibility to attract clients

Tasks
Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, groups, or some combination of these
Schedule your own sessions with clients once clients have been seen for their first session with you
Complete documentation for each session in a timely manner including intakes, medical record progress notes and treatment plans
Timely communication with clients and other Wellpower team members
Collaborating with referral sources and/or professionals involved in client care when necessary
Attend monthly staff/consultation meetings
Maintain license according to Georgia State laws (e.g. aquiring CEs, timely renewal, etc.)

Benefits
A referral coordinator handles initial scheduling and tracks referral information
Marketing and networking by Wellpower to support lead generation / client referrals
HIPAA-compliant email address
Access to Wellpower’s Canva account for creating social media content, flyers, etc
Being featured on the Wellpower’s website and other practice profiles, including PsychologyToday and Zencare
EHR for online scheduling, if you wish, paperwork, notes, communication, etc.
Telehealth platform, including group counseling capability
Clinical direction and entrepreneurial mentorship
Set your own hours and schedule
Competitive fee split
Access to in-person space
