JUNKMAN REMOVAL DISPOSAL SERVICES is looking for hardworking and reliable people who enjoy working outdoors in the role of litter pick up crew member foreman. Be part of a team that is growing with opportunities!
Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks such as litter picking around the counties roadways under direct supervision of the county Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for litter pickup along roadways at various locations throughout the state of Maryland such as, Prince George's County, and Charles County. Work activities include removal of trash, litter, and debris including recap, organic debris, bottles, cans, cardboard, paper, etc. This also includes the removal and clearing of debris from inlet grates along the shoulder.
This individual, must be capable of communicating in English, will be assigned to supervise, direct, and assist the other members of the crew in performing this work. The Foreman will have the authority to execute the work directed by the Engineer or his representative and supply such materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals needed to complete the work.
Responsibilities:
Performs general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to:
Manage crew members duties and performance.
Setup all traffic control devices and signs.
Communicate with county Engineer for work assignments.
Lifting and moving materials, following applicable safety rules.
Perform and keep cleaning grounds around litter picking.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Manually pickups and will carry large black trash bags.
Walk along the fence and clean up the debris stuck on fence line
Must be available to walk and stand for long periods at a time.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must have a clean driving history.
Operate work vehicle and equipment.
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Dependability
Reliable transportation.
Ability to follow verbal instructions and work efficiently with a team.
Positive attitude and professionalism in the workplace.
Steel toe boots.
Must wear PPE Protection.
Work Environment:
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds most of the workday
Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) occasionally.
Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements occasionally.
